To many tourists Full Moon Party is the most interesting of the main events in Koh Phangan. Thousands of party guests rush to Phangan each lunar eclipse if only to enjoy the Full Moon Party. Situated in the Gulf of Thailand Koh Phangan is the next island to the world wide known tourist destination of Samui Island which attracts in excess of one million holiday seekers each year. There are concrete roads to HaadRin, but we have warned you that the roads are not in the best condition and unless you are a competitant motorcycle rider then do not attempt to get to HadRin, as most accidents involving scooters happen in this area. Our advice is to leave your scooter at the 7-11 at BanTai and pay about 50 Baht for a pick up over the hills to HadRin. The only exemption from the otherwise laid back and quite island might be the Full moon party when Haad Rin East Side changes into a dance clubs made of sand. If you dislike huge party's or very loud music, don't worry on Kohphangan are a lot natural places, that are all over the Island like waterfalls, mountains and fishing spots.
